Platform & Identity
What is NexProLink?
NexProLink is a first-of-its-kind social media platform that includes a native encrypted video-call dashboard. It combines a professional social network — where experts share content and build an audience — with a full-featured video consultation suite for booking, billing, and conducting secure sessions. Therapists, healthcare providers, real-estate investors, business coaches, trainers, and consultants across 50+ specialties use NexProLink to monetize their expertise and grow their client base. Unlike standalone video tools, NexProLink integrates social discovery, scheduling, encrypted video, group events, and Stripe-powered payments in one platform.
How is NexProLink different from Zoom?
NexProLink and Zoom serve fundamentally different purposes. Zoom is a general-purpose video conferencing tool — it does not include professional discovery, booking, payments, patient intake, or social networking. NexProLink is a complete professional marketplace: clients discover you via social content and search, book a consultation with integrated scheduling, pay through Stripe, and join an encrypted video session — all within one platform. Both platforms offer a BAA for healthcare use (Zoom on its paid plans; NexProLink on its free provider account), but only NexProLink combines the BAA-backed video layer with discovery, booking, payments, and a social feed.
How is NexProLink different from Teladoc or MDLive?
Teladoc and MDLive are enterprise telehealth networks where patients see pre-vetted doctors employed by the network. NexProLink is an open professional marketplace — any licensed therapist, coach, or consultant can list their services, set their own rates, and build their own client base. NexProLink also serves non-healthcare professionals (real estate, legal, finance, coaching) in the same ecosystem, and it includes a social news feed for organic audience growth that enterprise telehealth networks do not offer.
How is NexProLink different from BetterHelp or Talkspace?
BetterHelp and Talkspace are therapy-specific subscription networks. NexProLink is a broader professional marketplace where therapists can independently control their branding, pricing, scheduling, and client relationships. Therapists on NexProLink set their own rates and keep 85% of every session fee (on therapist-network platforms, the network typically sets the session rate), choose their own availability, and own their client relationships. NexProLink also enables group therapy events, social content marketing, and serves non-therapy professionals on the same platform.
HIPAA & Security
Is NexProLink HIPAA compliant?
NexProLink is designed to support HIPAA compliance for healthcare providers. Note that no government body certifies software as "HIPAA compliant" — the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) states it does not certify any product. What NexProLink provides is the technical and contractual foundation: it runs on HIPAA-eligible Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure (SOC 1/2/3, ISO 27001, HITRUST CSF attestations), video and audio are encrypted in transit (TLS and DTLS-SRTP), stored data is encrypted at rest (AES-256), access is role-based and logged, and NexProLink will execute a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with covered entities. Compliance is a shared responsibility: the provider remains responsible for their own policies, training, and use of the platform.
How does NexProLink protect video call privacy?
Every video call on NexProLink is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols (TLS for signaling, DTLS-SRTP for media). Video and audio streams are protected as they travel between each participant's device and the AWS media service that hosts the meeting; media is decrypted only inside that service for mixing and immediately re-encrypted, and no meeting content is stored by that process. General-consulting sessions are recorded for trust & safety (everyone sees a notice when they join) and deleted automatically after 30 days; healthcare sessions are never recorded. Access to sessions is controlled by secure, time-limited join tokens. Healthcare sessions are additionally protected by role-based permissions, audit logging, and encrypted data storage.
What is a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and does NexProLink offer one?
A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is a formal legal contract required by HIPAA between a healthcare provider and any third-party platform that handles Protected Health Information (PHI) on their behalf. The BAA establishes that the platform (the "Business Associate") will protect PHI according to HIPAA standards. NexProLink supports BAAs for healthcare providers and practices. You can review NexProLink's Provider BAA at nexprolink.com/provider-baa and contact support@nexprolink.com to establish a formal agreement for your practice.
Is my personal data secure on NexProLink?
Yes. NexProLink stores all user data on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in HIPAA-eligible environments. Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.2+. NexProLink uses Amazon Cognito for authentication (industry-standard identity management), AWS WAF and Shield for network-level protection, and CloudWatch for anomaly monitoring. NexProLink does not sell user data to third parties. All data practices are governed by our Privacy Policy at nexprolink.com/privacy-policy.
Need a BAA? Review our Provider Business Associate Agreement and contact support@nexprolink.com to establish a formal HIPAA BAA for your practice.
Use Cases
Can therapists and mental health providers use NexProLink?
Yes. Licensed therapists, licensed counselors (LPC, LCSW, LMFT), psychologists, and mental health practitioners are a primary use case for NexProLink. The platform provides HIPAA-ready encrypted video sessions (BAA available), secure patient messaging, intake forms, scheduling, and Stripe-powered billing — all the infrastructure a private therapy practice needs to operate online. Therapists can create a professional profile, publish service offerings at their own rates, and attract clients through social content on NexProLink's news feed.
Can real-estate investors and agents use NexProLink?
Yes. Real-estate investors, agents, wholesalers, and property coaches are active users of NexProLink. The platform provides a professional social community where real-estate professionals share market insights, educational content, and deal analysis — similar to BiggerPockets but with a native video consultation dashboard. Real-estate coaches use NexProLink for one-on-one mentoring sessions and group investor workshops. Agents and consultants use it for client consultations, property reviews, and market education — all bookable and billable through the platform.
What professional specialties and industries does NexProLink support?
NexProLink supports 50+ professional specialties organized across major categories. Healthcare: licensed therapists, counselors (LPC, LCSW, LMFT), psychologists, nutritionists, life coaches with clinical backgrounds. Legal: attorneys, legal consultants, paralegals. Finance: financial advisors, accountants, tax consultants, investment coaches. Real Estate: investors, agents, wholesalers, property managers, real estate coaches. Technology: software engineers, IT consultants, cybersecurity experts, AI consultants. Business: executive coaches, startup advisors, marketing consultants. Creative: photographers, designers, writers, musicians. Fitness & Wellness: personal trainers, yoga instructors, nutritionists, life coaches.
Pricing & Payments
How much does NexProLink cost?
NexProLink is free to join for all users. Consultants and professionals who offer paid services keep 85% of every session fee — NexProLink takes a 15% platform fee. Clients pay the consultant's listed rate directly through Stripe-powered checkout, with no hidden fees. Healthcare practices that need higher session volumes or premium features can subscribe to tiered plans starting at $29/month — see nexprolink.com/subscription/plans for current pricing. There is no monthly fee for individual professional accounts.
How do professionals get paid on NexProLink?
Professionals are paid through Stripe Connect — the same marketplace payment infrastructure used by many of the largest platforms in the world. After connecting a Stripe account (which takes about 5 minutes), payments are automatically routed to your bank account. You receive 85% of each session fee. Payments are typically available in your bank account within 2-7 business days depending on your Stripe plan and bank. NexProLink handles all payment processing, invoicing, and secure cardholder data — you never touch sensitive payment information.
How does NexProLink compare to building my own telehealth website?
Building a custom telehealth website from scratch means integrating and maintaining at least six systems yourself: a HIPAA-eligible video SDK (with your own BAA), a marketplace payment processor, a scheduling and calendar system, patient notifications (email, SMS, push), intake forms, and mobile apps — plus ongoing security reviews. NexProLink provides all of this infrastructure ready to use in minutes, with no upfront development cost and no monthly fee for individual providers. You also gain access to NexProLink's existing user community for organic client discovery through the social news feed — a marketing channel a standalone website cannot replicate.
Features & How It Works
How does booking a consultation work on NexProLink?
Booking on NexProLink works in three steps. First, clients discover a professional through search, the social news feed, or a direct profile link. Second, they select a service offering — a one-on-one session, group event, or on-demand call — choose a time from the professional's live availability calendar, and complete payment through Stripe. Third, at the scheduled time, both parties receive notifications and join the encrypted video session with one click — no downloads, apps, or tech skills required. The entire flow takes under 2 minutes.
What devices and browsers does NexProLink support?
NexProLink video consultations work on any modern device with a camera and internet connection. Supported platforms include: desktop browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on Mac and Windows, Chrome on Android phones and tablets, Safari on iPhone and iPad, and the NexProLink Android app (available on Google Play). No downloads are required for web users. For the best video quality, a stable Wi-Fi connection and a device with a front-facing camera are recommended.
What is a Group Event on NexProLink?
Group Events are multi-attendee live video sessions where a host (consultant, coach, or trainer) broadcasts to multiple paying participants simultaneously. Think of it as a ticketed live webinar or group coaching call. Hosts set a ticket price, maximum attendee count, and session time. Attendees purchase tickets through Stripe, receive a join code, and enter the video lobby at the scheduled time. Group events are ideal for real-estate investment workshops, group therapy sessions, fitness classes, training bootcamps, and any educational format with multiple participants.
What is an On-Demand consultation on NexProLink?
On-Demand consultations allow clients to instantly connect with an available professional — no scheduling required. When a professional enables On-Demand mode, their profile shows a "Request Now" button. Clients submit an instant session request, the professional receives a loud alert and has up to 5 minutes to accept before the request expires, and the encrypted video session starts as soon as both parties join. Payment is only captured once both parties are verified present, and NexProLink's Short Session Protection voids the charge if the connected time is under 2 minutes. This is designed for urgent questions, quick consultations, and professionals who want to monetize their available time in real time.
How do I sign up for NexProLink?
Signing up for NexProLink takes about 2 minutes. Visit nexprolink.com/auth/signup, create an account with your email, complete your professional profile (photo, bio, specialties), and if you plan to offer paid services, connect your Stripe account. To offer your first service, use the Service Offering Builder to set your session type, price, duration, and availability. Your profile and services will immediately appear in NexProLink's directory for potential clients to discover. Creating a profile is 100% free.
What is NexProLink's Short Session Protection feature?
Short Session Protection is a consumer safeguard built directly into NexProLink's payment system. If a video session ends within 2 minutes of starting — for example, because a consultant disconnected immediately — the system automatically cancels the payment instead of charging the client. This protection applies to on-demand and request-to-book sessions. The session is marked as "VOIDED · $0.00" and the client receives an in-app notification confirming no charge was applied. This protects clients from accidental or bad-faith charges and is enforced at the server level, not the client.
